Henry Wendt
Non-Executive Director.Mr. Wendt became a member of our board of directors in 2000. He was founder and Chairman of Global Health Care Partners until January 2001. Mr. Wendt retired as Chairman of the board of directors of SmithKline Beecham in 1994 after nearly four decades in the pharmaceutical industry. He was Chairman of the board of directors and Chief Executive Officer of SmithKline Beckman prior to the merger with Beecham in 1989. In 1994, Mr. Wendt was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun Gold and Silver Star by the Japanese government, and in 1995 he was named as Honorary Commander of the British Empire by HRH Queen Elizabeth II. Mr. Wendt serves on the board of directors of Computerized Medical Systems, Arrail Dental, Cambridge Laboratories, Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, Focus Technologies and Prometheus Laboratories. Mr. Wendt graduated from Princeton University.
