Ted Roberts
Chairman.Mr. Roberts became a member of our board of directors in 2000. Until 1998, he served as Head of Pharmaceuticals at Merck KGaA. While at Merck, he oversaw the transformation of the pharmaceutical business into a successful, diversified international organization and led Merck’s initial public offering in 1995. Prior to working at Merck, Mr. Roberts spent 29 years as an executive with Eli Lilly. Mr. Roberts graduated from the Leicester School of Pharmacy, England. He serves as Chairman of the advisory board of Merz GmbH and as a member of the board of directors of ICON plc., and previously served as Chairman of the board of directors of Thiemann S.A. Mr. Roberts also currently serves as a consultant to Avista Capital Partners.
